SHOP INFO
We are the area's only nonprofit, do-it-together bicycle workshop. We provide a welcoming space for the community to come learn about cycling, bicycle mechanics, and community empowerment.
To this end we provide a variety of services:

-
We accept donated bikes from the community and refurbish them for sale. Our refurbished bikes are fully serviced by our staff or volunteer mechanics and are ready to ride off the sales floor. These bikes are at a great price point for the person looking to get their first bike, or get back into cycling as an adult.
-
We donate bicycles to those in need. Whether through our Partnership with Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity or Bike Rodeos Organized with the Des Moines Police Department and Parks and Recreation Department we gave away over 500 bikes in 2023.
-
We provide an open do-it-together workshop. The public can bring their own bikes to our shop and receive instruction on proper bicycle repair. More information about this service is available under the Bench Time tab.
-
Volunteers help us provide all these valuable services. We are always in need of volunteers, whether you're a 20 year bike shop veteran or have never held a wrench, we can use your help. Call us at (515) 288-8022 for more information about volunteering or check out the Volunteer Guidebook.
